L9 hex cap screws have a tensile strength of 180,000 PSI (pounds per square inch) which makes means they can sustain significantly more pressure than lower grades of fasteners prior to failing. Because the grade of these fasteners is categorized by the L9 Society of engineers, you know you are getting high-quality fasteners that exceed the durability of other types and grades of fasteners. They exhibit a high tensile strength and are significantly stronger than low and medium-grade hex head cap screws. For convenience and to maintain strength, these grade 9 screws are compatible with and should be used with grade 9 nuts and washers.
